DANCING AND SINGING SNEAKERS!
In 1998, I designed, coordinated, built, and was head puppeteer
for a project for Spark Design Inc., which was part of an in-store multi-media
promotional video for the Footlocker chain of stores. We shot the
puppet part in an ad hoc studio space in an empty store in the huge Palisades
Parkway mall.
The "puppets" for this project were athletic shoes fitted
with
rods so they could be
manipulated from below in precise choreography
to a pre-recorded musical track.
